SUMMARY OF MEDICAL LIBRARY FORUM
Medical Library Forum, no. ISSN 1899-5829, is a reviewed semi-annual
nation-wide periodical. It has been set up on the initiative of the Directors of the Polish Medi-cal University Libraries and has been edited since 2008 by the MediMedi-cal University of Lodz. Each edition is printed in 300 copies and is available on-line in the electronic ver-sion (http://www.bg.umed.lodz.pl; http://cybra.lodz.pl/dlibra). The periodical has been granted scores since 2010 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
In 2013, Medical Library Forum was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. We are very grateful to Prof. Barbara K u d r y c k a , Minister of Science and Higher Education, and the experts team for Science Promoting Activities for the financial support.
Prof. Marek M i r o w s k i is the Chairman of the Programme Council and Dr Ryszard Ż m u d a , Director of the Library of Medical University of Lodz, is the Editor-in-chief of the periodical.
The preface to the 12th issue (2013) of Medical Library Forum has been written by Prof. Wiesław M a k a r e w i c z , Rector of the Medical Academy in Gdańsk. The periodical contains numerous articles, reports, biographical materials, reviews and the summary in the English language.
