W pracy zaprezentowano analizę nowego procesu walcowania pielgrzymowego rur na zimno, pod kątem doboru optymalnych warunków odkształcenia metalu. Eksperymenty przeprowadzono na modelowej walcarce pielgrzymowej, wykonanej według nowej koncepcji walcowania pielgrzymowego rur na zimno. Badania obejmowały modelowanie fizyczne, modelowanie numeryczne, oraz ocenę rur przed i po procesie walcowania.

Pomiar odkształceń w stożku roboczym wykonano przy wykorzystaniu komercyjnego systemu pomiarowego ARGUS, oraz za pomocą stereofotogrametrycznej metody pomiaru, opracowanej przez autora pracy. Wyznaczono parametry siłowe - nacisk metalu na walce, siła osiowa w rurze i trzpieniu - występujące w czasie procesu walcowania. Zbadano również jak zmienny stan naprężenia wpływa na proces walcowania. Ocena jakości rur po walcowaniu, wykonana została na podstawie pomiarów decentryczności i różnościenności walcowanych rur. Opracowano model numeryczny nowego rozwiązania, na którym testowane były różne kalibrowania urządzenia. Poprawność wykonania modelu, zweryfikowana została na podstawie analizy porównawczej wyników z modelowania fizycznego i symulacji numerycznej.

Determination of the optimal deformation conditions in the new cold pilger rolling process.

The researches presented in this thesis are focused on optimal conditions of metal deformation in the new cold pilger rolling process. Experiments were made on prototype pilger roller, designed due to new concept of tube rolling process. This paper presents physical modelling, numerical simulations, and tube quality assessment, before and after rolling.

The strain measurements in working cone were obtained using two methods. The first one is by using professional optical measuring system ARGUS, second one is stereo-photogrammetric method of strain measurement - this technique was proposed by author of thesis. Rolling forces - including metal pressure on rolls, axial force in tube and mandrel, were measured during standard rolling, and also during rolling, where stress variation was added. Tube quality assessment was obtained, by eccentricity and relative wall thickness measurement. In the end, numerical model was prepared, where variety of model calibration was tested. Numerical simulations were verified by comparison with physical modelling results.
