SUMMaRY OF THE mEdICal lIbRaRy foRum

Medical Library Forum, ISSN 1899-5829, a semi-annual periodical, has been

edi-ted since 2008 by the Medical University of Łódź. Each edition consists of 300 copies and is available in the electronic version (http://www.cybra.lodz.pl , http://www.bg.u-med.lodz.pl ). The editor-in-chief is Ryszard Ż m u d a , PhD. He is also the Director of the University Library. The Chairman of the Programme Board is Prof. Marek M i -r o w s k i , PhD, who chai-rs the Lib-ra-ry Boa-rd, a consultative and adviso-ry body of His Magnificence Rector. It is available all over Poland and granted scores by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. In 2012 the periodical celebrated its 5th_anniversary.

It was a reason for preparing an outline history and bibliography of the contents as well as information about the authors (Jolanta K a ź m i e r c z a k , MA).

The preface to Issue 2 (10) of Medical Library Forum was written by Prof. Jan Ber-ner, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Rector of the Medical University of Łódź, doctor honoris causa of the University Claude Bernard Lyon, the President of the City of Pabianice.

The authors also issued a continued version of “The Biographical Lexicon of Scho-lars”, in which the objective and subjective bibliography of Prof. Marek MIROWSKI, PhD was presented (Ryszard Ż m u d a , PhD) as well as : The Dictionary of Medi-cal Libraries Employees”, in which contains entries of another 33 bio-bibliographies of employees who hold PhD degrees.
