Medical Library Forum, no. ISSN 1899-5829, is a reviewed semi-annual
nationwi-de periodical. It has been set up on the initiative of the Directors of the Polish Medical University Libraries and has been edited since 2008 by the Medical University of Lodz. Each edition is printed in 300 copies and is available on-line in the electronic ver-sion (http://www.bg.umed.lodz.pl; http://cybra.lodz.pl/dlibra). The periodical has been granted scores since 2010 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Prof. Marek M i r o w s k i , MPharm, PhD is the Chairman of the Programme Co-uncil and Dr Ryszard Ż m u d a , MA, PhD, the Director of the Medical University of Lodz Library, is the Editor-in-chief of the periodical.
In 2013, Medical Library Forum was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The articles concerning the activities of medical libraries, scientific information de-partments and related subjects have been published in the periodical. Medical Library
Forum also includes current and historical issues. Moreover, teaching materials,
bi-bliographic information, biographies, as well as reviews and conference reports are presented. The preface to the first issue of the sixth annual has been written by Rev. Prof. Józef M a n d z i u k , MA, PhD, Head of the Chair of Modern History, Institute of History, Faculty of History and Social Sciences at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski Uni-versity in Warsaw.
