SUIIMARY
Within some closely non investigated areas of the Upper Silesia newo coking ,coal occurrence regions should be iietermined and examined, among them Sumina-Ruda region, re~ situated 90Utb of 'the existing new mines of the Rybnik: Coal District, and regions of Kobiór. Zebrzydowice, Kaczyce and Cieszyn. As far as power coals are concerned the 1nvestigations should be carried out within the
Bieruń-Międzyrzecze region,the Flysch Carpathian margin area, and small areas of productive Carboni-ferous along the northern margIn of the basin.
Within the low-promising areas of the Lower Si-lesia the investigations should comprise the marginal zones of the known coal deposits and the coal con-tent in theCarboniferous strata of the North-Sudetic Syncl1norium. As concerns brown coals modern pro-specting' methods should be used to discover the most promising type of deposits related to Tertiary depressions.
