The seventh annual Medical Library Forum is honoured by the preface written by Prof. Marek P a w l i k o w s k i , Rector and Doctor honoris causa of the Medical Uni-versity of Lodz and of the UniUni-versity of Silesia in Katowice, as well as the Director of the Institute of Endocrinology of the Medical Academy / the Medical University of Lodz.
Medical Library Forum no. ISSN 1899-5829 has been edited since 2008 by the
Medical University of Lodz.
Prof. Marek M i r o w s k i (Medical University of Lodz) is the Chairman of the Programme Council and Prof. Maria C h o s i a (Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin), Prof. Gerard D r e w a (Collegium Medicum at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Bydgoszcz) are its members along with Directors of scientific libraries from Slovakia (Josef D z i v á k , MEng – Bratislava), Ukraine (Dr Raisa P a v l e n k o – Kiev) and Hungary (Agnes K o r e n y – Budapest) who joined the Council in 2014.
The Editorial Board consists of the Directors of Medical Universities and other aca-demic lecturers / certified library custodians.
Dr Ryszard Ż m u d a , Director of the Library of the Medical University of Lodz and the Editor of Kronikarz is the Editor-in-chief of Medical Library Forum. In De-cember 2014, the periodical was again included into the list of journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education gaining 3 points, although it should obtain 5 points, similarly to some other comparable humanistic periodicals.
This edition presents the articles on general as well as specific issues concerning science, library science, education and biographical writing. Moreover, the periodi-cal includes reports on scientific conferences and photographic documentation of the

XXXII Conference of Medical Libraries organized by the Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw on 15-17 September, 2014.
The Science Section includes the articles on the contribution of the Polish doctors to the development of medicine in Ukraine (Dr Raisa P a v l e n k o , Kiev – Natio-nal Scientific Medical Library of Ukraine), social networks for researchers (Ewa A. R o z k o s z , MA – University of Lower Silesia in Wroclaw), innovations in the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz (Dr Jolanta P r z y ł u s k a – Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz) and bibliometry (Dr Bartłomiej S i e k – Medical University of Gdansk).

Biography Section comprises articles, reminiscences, addresses, dedications and iconographic materials devoted to Stella F r o n c z a k on the occasion of the conferen-ce conferen-celebrating the 85th anniversary of her birth and 60 years of work in the Library of the Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Warsaw (Prof. Zofia Z w o l s k a , Prof. Ewa R o w i ń s k a - Z a k r z e w s k a , Halina W i l c z y ń s k a , MA, Krzysztof K r ó l i k o w s k i , MD, Dr Ryszard Ż m u d a ), which shed more light on our modest heroine. Zofia K u c ó w n a read poems during the ceremony.
