SUMMARY

Analysis of rich Mid Oxfordil;ln ammonite. assem-blages (about 40 genera and Bubgenera and over 80 species) from the areas SE of Cz~tochowa has I1hown their Submediterranean cbaracter. Zonation made (Table 1) showed

that

the litbostratigraphic subd!v'tsion bitbert() accepted is inappropriate (Fig. 2). The record of Subboreal elements in the ammo-nite assemblages as weLl

analysis of literature m'alde it passible to establish a modified correlation of the SUil:f>'oreal and Submediterranean zonal

The correlation of the Boreal and Subboreal zonal schemes with the Submediterranean one in the Upper Oxfordian and Lower Kimmeridgian is based on the invasions of

With reference to East Taimyr, this zonal scheme can be interpreted as follows (MESEZHNIKOV 1988): the Middle Oxfordian corresponds partly to the Densiplicatum Zone, but

Several new biohorizons, widely recognized at a basin scale, are tentatively proposed, to refine the zonal scheme which is characterized now by: the Iberica horizon at the

Although the percentage of hoplitids within the Mediterranean assemblage -from the High-Tatra Swell is as low as 8.59 %, they are nevertheless the second most abundant

Consequently, the calcareous- -marly facies marking the onset of the White Jurassic sedimentation is diachronous; it developed in the cordatum to plicatilis Zones
