The report discusses the activities of the Commission on the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Arts and Scienc-es in 2017/2018. It prScienc-esents the lists of: scientific meetings, new members, new publications, and members who have died.

Omówiona została działalność Komisji Historii Nauki PAU w roku 2017/2018. Przedstawiono spisy: posiedzeń naukowych, nowych Członków Komisji, nowych publikacji oraz Członków Komisji, którzy zmarli.

1. Scientific meetings of the Commission

In the period from October 2017 to June 2018 ten scientific meetings of the Commission were held, during which the following eleven pa-pers were delivered:

2. Administration and election matters

and new members of the PAU Commission

on the History of Science

The meetings on 28 February 2018 resulted in the election of new members of the PAU Commission on the History of Science. Two new members, in total, were selected in secret ballots.

• dr Krystyna Wołkowicz (Państwowy Instytut Geologiczny – Pań-stwowy Instytut Badawczy, Warsaw, Poland);

• dr Jan Surman (Editor of the section “Science in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe” of the PAU Commission journal Studia Historiae Scientiarum; Visiting Fellow IFK Internationales For-schungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften (Wien, Austria); Visiting Fellow Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Rusia)).

The Council of PAU approved the results of the election on 21 March 2018.
