Krajowy rynek węgla koksowego cechuje deficyt węgla najlepszych właściwościach koksotwórczych (typu 35). Brakująca ilość musi być importowana. Przez zastosowanie operacji wstępnego podsuszania wsadu istnieje możliwość częściowej jego substytucji tańszym dostępnym węglem (typu 34) bez pogorszania jakości koksu.
W rozprawie dokonano oceny technologicznej wpływu wstępnego podsuszania wsadu na jakość produktów oraz przebieg procesu koksowania w aspekcie możliwej substytucji węgla typu 35 węglem typu 34 bez pogorszenia jakości koksu a następnie określono efekty ekonomicznych takiego przedsięwzięcia. W zakresie oceny technologicznej zbadano wpływ operacji podsuszania wsadu na wydajność, przebieg i bezpieczeństwo procesu oraz jakość produktów. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników oraz analizy doświadczeń eksploatacyjnych instalacji wstępnego podsuszania wsadu zdefiniowano koncepcję technologii podsuszania wsadu dla warunków Koksowni Zdzieszowice. Dla tej koncepcji sformułowano założenia procesowo-technologiczne, będące punktem wyjścia do oceny efektywności ekonomicznej. Obejmowała ona trzy etapy: ocenę metodami dyskontowymi inwestycji instalacji wstępnego podsuszania wsadu dla 4 baterii koksowniczych napełnianych grawitacyjnie, ocenę efektywności ekonomicznej prowadzenia dalszych badań przemysłowych nad podsuszaniem wsadu metodą drzewa decyzyjnego oraz ocenę metodą opcji rzeczowych opcji związanych z realizacją wstępnego podsuszania wsadu.
Polish coke coal market is characterized by deficit of the best coke making properties coals (35 type). The lack of raw materials has to be compensated by import. There is a possibility of partial substitution of type 35 coke coals by cheaper and available type 34 coke coals without coke quality deterioration by implementing the pre-drying operation of the coal charge.
The dissertation includes a technological evaluation of the impact of coal blend pre-drying on product quality and the coke making process (especially definition of to which extend the type 35 coal can be replaced with type 34 coal without negative impact on coke quality) and furthermore the assessment of the economic effects of this undertaking.
In scope of the technological evaluation a research program on the impact of coal blend pre-drying on effectiveness, safety, coke making process and its products has been realized. Based on the achieved results and analysis of exploitation experience gained during the usage of the coal blend pre-drying installation, the technological concept of coal blend pre-drying for the Zdzieszowice Coke Plant has been defined. For the purpose of this concept, assumptions for process and technology have been defined. Those assumptions form the base for the economic evaluation which is comprised of three main phases. Assessment via discount based evaluation methods of the Coal Blend Pre-drying Installation project for 4 top charging coke oven batteries, assessment of economic effectiveness of further industrial research on coal blend pre-drying via the decision tree method and evaluation of the coal blend pre-drying project via the real options method.
