By Shösuke INOUE Masayoshi MURAKAMI Masaaki HIRANO Tôru INOUE AbstractIt is very important to evaluate the turning locus of a actual ship, but is insufficient
due to the measurement error of a actual ship turning locus and the inaccuracy of
derivatives etc. to calculate. We calculate the actual ship's turning locus by the author's
turning derivatives, Fujii's rudder force formula and the method of DTMB in longitudinal
direction. By the result of comparison of the data to be done carefully for the turning trial, it becomes sure its calculation is correct. Also by this method the same turning
trial data of 3 same ships have been computed and its method has been recognized again. 59
