In this report a design is made of a shuttle for a Elevating and Transfer Vehicle (ETV) for a high-bay warehouse for containers. The shuttle is part of the system to store and retrieve containers. The design has the following characteristics:
40-ft container shuttle
Head-on storage of the container
No wind load (Warehouse is a closed structure)
Primarily optimized to be as short and narrow as possible, secondarily for a low mass. Calculations on the basis of Deutsche Institut fur Normung (DIN) and Dutch TGB. The main parts that are designed are:
The chassis The wheels A lifting system Travelling drive
