GENERAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE THESIS

Actuality of the thesis. For maximum usage and reliability, a system will be developed and during the logical design phase, I will be describing the inputs (sources), out puts (destinations), databases (data stores) and procedures (data flows) all in a format that meets the uses requirements. I will also specifies the user needs and at a level that virtually determines the information flow in and out of the system and the data resources.

Most importantly, the solutions to maximize the usage will be done with the logical design through data flow diagrams and database design using Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Compute Cluster Pack.

cluster computing did not gain momentum until the convergence of three important trends in the 1980s: high-performance microprocessors, high-speed networks, and standard tools for high performance distributed computing. A possible fourth trend is the increasing need of computing power for computational science and commercial applications coupled with the high cost and low accessibility of traditional supercomputers. These four building blocks are also known as killer-microprocessors, killer-networks, killer-tools, and killer-applications, respectively. The recent advances in these technologies and their availability as cheap and commodity components are making clusters or networks of computers such as Personal Computers (PCs), workstations, and Symmetric Multiple-Processors (SMPs) an appealing solution for cost-effective parallel computing. Clusters, built using commodity-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware components as well as free, or commonly used, software, are playing a major role in redefining the concept of supercomputing.

The aim of the thesis: In this project, my aim is to build a system for high performance cluster in both Windows and Linux platforms. Basically, I will be developing a system to tackle various likely issues that could cause the inefficiencies of the computer as the workload might be huge per time.

Thesis tasks:

1. To develop a system which help maximize latest IT task effectively.

2. To create a database system which will be connected to HPCC for better result.

3. To come up with the result of system actualization.

The object of the research: Improvement of Compute Cluster for high performance. Novelty of the results: The development and actualization of Compute Cluster for high performance has been further developed.

The practical significance: The development and actualization of Compute Cluster for high performance can be used in any organization or small company for its management needs.

Thesis approbation. The results have been reported at the VI International scientific and technical conference of young researchers and students «Current issues in modern technologies», Ternopil, November 16-17, 2017.

The structure of the thesis. The thesis consists of explanatory notes and graphical presentation. The explanatory notes consists of introduction, 7 sections, conclusions, references and appendices. The thesis size: explanatory notes – ….. pages of the A4 format, graphical presentation – 7 sheets of the A1 format.

MAIN CONTENT OF THE THESIS

In introduction the importance and actuality of the subject of the thesis have been represented.

Іn the first section analytical review of research method has been carried out. That is, the Critical review of HPCC system and besides, the basic explanation and structure of Compute Cluster was addressed.

Іn the second section the problems and solutions are depicted here and how to overcome the problem that comes up general for any person, big or small companies. The System was setup with the database to speed up both the software and hardware component for efficient usage.

In the third section is devoted to the Application Development, Installation, Database Analysis, design and Implementation, Program and Performance Testing.

Fourth section is devoted to the software requirements for the information system development and management of the High Performance Computing Cluster system.

Fifth section estimation of costs involved in designing the High Performance Computing Cluster system and estimation of budget and calculation of cost of goods sold for monitoring data exchange between information systems have been analysed.

Sixth section is devoted to the problems of labour protection, health and safety regulations. That is, the effect of light radiation on PC User.

Seventh section deals with both positive and negative impact of computers on society.

Conclusions

1. In this Master’s Thesis, the development of an information system has been

presented. Compute Clusters are widely used in both big and small companies and as so, a database system has been developed to provide High performance and accuracy even with enormous work-load.

2. The works’ content contains the solution to all the task, starting from the script-

programming environments have been selected, going through the database setup, the application’s installations, and finishing with the system core program run and test- in samples.

3. As a future work, an adjustment could be implemented and integrated into the Cluster system making it much more efficient and flexible; especially the maximization and high performance stability, for instance.

4. The role of such systems is inevitable and essential within each company both big and small that wants to keep a really good control and record faster concerning its workload, functionality and performance.

ANNOTATION

The Master’s thesis is developed to tackle the needs of big and High-Tech companies out there with more faster and capability of workload within and outside their scope. High-performance Cluster System was developed with the addition of a database included in the system which provide makes the system more efficient.
