Platon, E., 1997. Coiling modes in the Family Plectorecurvoididae (Foraminiferida). Ann. Soc. Geol. Polon., 67:
339-343.
A b stract: Specim ens o f Pokornyammina, Thalmannammina (?) and Plectorecurvoid.es were analysed for this study. Taxa with a biserial axis are coiled in the same m anner as those with a uniserial axis. In Pokornyammina irregularis (Geroch) the biserial axis can be coiled in a “ streptospiral thalmannam miniform” manner or a
“streptospiral sensu stricto” manner. The shape o f the chamber and the presence o f biserial chamber arrangement lead us to believe that Thalmannammina neocomiensis should be transfered to the family Plectorecurvoididae.
A b stra k t: Przedm iotem badań autora była analiza sposobu ułożenia komór u otwomic aglutynujących należących do Pokornyammina, ^Thalmannammina i Plectorecurvoides. Wykazano brak różnic w sposobie zwinięcia sko
rupki u form jedno- i dwuseryjnych. Otwornice z gatunku Pokornyammina irregularis (Geroch) charakteryzuje dwojaki sposób zw inięcia dwuseryjnej części skorupki: “ streptospiralny typu Thalm annam m ina" oraz “ strepto- spiraly sensu stricto".

A utor przeprowadził szczegółowe obserw acje sposobu zw i

comiensis Geroch i Plectorecurvoides irregularis Geroch.
(Fig. la). A utor proponuje nazwać ten sposób zw inięcia jako „streptospiralny typu Recur
voides".
des. W iększość badanych okazów z rodzaju Plectorecurvoides należy do gatunku P. alternans (Fig. 2). Jeden, również z rodzaju Plectorecurvoides (Fig. 5) wykazuje odmienne cechy. Stwier
giego. N ie w idoczna jest natom iast najm łodsza część komór.
Drugi ze sposobów zw inięcia (Fig. 7) - o wiele częstszy w bada
nych okazach - nie wykazuje ostrej zmiany kierunku zwinięcia skorupki. D wuseryjna oś skorupki zmienia kierunek „streptospi- ralnie sensu stricto’’.
N a przemian dwu- i jednoseryjnie zw inięte kom ory charak
teryzują formy z gatunku Thalmannammina neocomiensis (Ge
roch, 1962). Dwuseryjny sposób ułożenia oraz poligonalny kształt komór u T. neocomiensis występuje rów nież u form z rodziny Plectorecurvoididae. Jakkolwiek często spotykany, jednoseryjny sposób ułożenia komór przypom ina bardziej rodzaj Thalmannam
mina niż formy należące do Plectorecurvoididae.
comiensis do rodziny Plectorecurvoididae.
