Jak co roku, pocz¡wszy od 1970 r., Katedra Matematyki Uniwersytetu Przy- rodniczego we Wrocªawiu organizuje ogólnopolsk¡ konferencj¦ naukow¡ z udziaªem go±ci zagranicznych po±wi¦con¡ zastosowaniom metod matematycz- nych, statystycznych i numerycznych przede wszystkim w naukach przyrod- niczych, ale tak»e w technicznych, ekonomicznych. W zamierzeniu organiza- torów Seminarium ma by¢ miejscem spotka« matematyków zajmuj¡cych si¦

zastosowaniami matematyki oraz praktyków stosuj¡cych w swoich badaniach naukowych mniej lub bardziej zaawansowane modele matematyczne. W roku

Na konferencji, w ci¡gu niespeªna dwudniowych obrad, wygªoszono 30 re- feratów i na specjalnej sesji przedstawiono 13 posterów. Autorzy prac repre- zentowali 11 o±rodków naukowych z Polski i zagranicy. Wi¦kszo±¢ referatów wygªoszono w j¦zyku angielskim. Podobnie jak w ostatnich latach, gªównym nurtem zainteresowa« autorów byªy hydrologia, meteorologia, hydrogeologia, klimatologia, gospodarka wodna, ekologia i ochrona ±rodowiska

AbstractXLVIII Seminar of Applied Mathematicstook place in Boguszów-Gorce on September 9-11, 2018.

Since 1970, Department of Mathematics at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences organizes an annual scientic conference with the participation of foreign guests dedicated to the applications of mathematical, statistical and numer- ical methods, mostly in environmental, but also in technical, economical sciences.

The intention of the organizers of the Seminar is to create a meeting place for math- ematicians who deal with the applications of mathematics and practitioners who use more or less advanced mathematical models in their scientic research. For the

rst time, in 2018, all submitted papers were reviewed by an international body of reviewers and published at Web of Conferences platform. It is worth mentioning that the conference took place in mid-September, and all papers appeared at ITM Web of Conferencesvol (23)yet at the beginning November 2018.

At the conference, over 2 days of talks, 30 papers were delivered and 13 posters were presented at a special session. The authors of the papers represented 11 research centers from Poland and form a abroad. Most of the presentations were delivered in English. As in recent years, hydrology, meteorology, hydrogeology, climatology, water management, ecology and environmental protection were the main points of interest.
