Newsletter of the International Subcommission on Jurassic stratigraphy: Foreword

We are very pleased to introduce a series of short articles that together constitute the Newsletter of the International Subcommission on Jurassic Stratigraphy (ISJS) for 2012. We very much hope that the publication of these ‘news and views’ in the high quality and accessible format that is “Volumina Jurassica” will help to stimulate further submissions for 2013 and grow into the prime archive for informal contributions to Jurassic geoscience.

Perhaps, we will need a more interactive website as the future for the newsletter, but also an ‘archive’ version at the end of each year is needed.

We will be very pleased to receive additional contributions throughout the coming year and these can be made available online shortly after they have been submitted.
