489 Abstract.
In the article are highlighted the peculiarities of the Soviet government’s anti-religious policy in the second half of the 1920s. The infl uence of the Soviet authorities on the emergence and development of the True Orthodox Church in the Donetsk region is revealed. It is also determined that in the 1920s the only task for the Soviet authorities was to destroy religion as an ideology and to create a «new type» of human.
