In this research project the creep of a steel wire rope on a traction-sheave has been studied. Therefore data concerning the cable-stresses have been collected and processed in a digital way. Eytelwein's equation, derived in 1793, has been investigated for different traction ratios. The change of force has been compared with Eytelwein by means of a computerprogram.
