PhD in Chemistry (1977); habilitated Doctor of Science (1989); University Professor (1994), and positions: Trainee Engineer (1.09.1969-1.09.1970;

Institute of Fertilizers, Puławy), Assistant (1970-1977), Tutor (1977-1989), Associate Professor (1989-1994), and University Professor (1994).

In the period 1970-1993 He was a staff member of the Department of Chemical Technology at the Faculty of Chemistry of MSCU. Since 1993 He is a Head of Department of Environmental Chemistry (earlier Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry).

After the obtainment of the tutorage position in 1977 the didactic skills of the doctor D. Nazimek are used in higher extend to the leadership of laboratory exercises from chemical technology and industrial practices.

After habilitation, Professor Nazimek leads lectures in the compulsory courses for the full-time students (e.g.: applied chemistry with elements of biochemistry, protection of an environment), and for the second-cycle Master’s degree programme (diploma seminars, monographic lectures). He is one of the leading lecturer for the students of en environmental protection (both studies cycles). Except compulsory courses many times He was conducting open university lectures, which were attended by many students.

Taking part through all years in the scientific activity, professor Nazimek was a supervisor of more than 150 diploma and master thesis. Professor Nazimek was and is still very well rated by students (this is evidenced by the results of anonymous questionnaires). He can reconcile high requirements with the huge kindness for the young people.

Professor Nazimek was a supervisor of the five PhD Thesis defended already.

Professor Nazimek has been fulfilling many organizational functions at the Faculty and University levels. As it was mentioned above, from 1993 up to today He is the Head of the Department of Environmental Chemistry. Due to this fact He is a responsible person for the realization of the education processes of core and an optional courses for an environmental protection students as well as for the essential preparation of His staff to the leadership of various didactic duties.

Moreover, He was a Rector’s plenipotentiary for 50th celebration of MCSU (1994), as well as He carried out similar function at the Festival of Polish Science in Lublin (2007, 2008, and 2010).

Since 1994, He is a co-organizer of the cyclic scientific seminars – national and international (together with the professor M. Najbar from Jagiellonian University) devoted to the problems broadly connected with the removal of nitrogen oxides.

Professor Nazimek is the author and co-author of above 270 various scientific presentations, including three books published in Polish (2001, 2003, and 2005), and two chapters in monographs. In His scientific achievements there are twenty patents, too.
