Students will have developed a good understanding of the literature on public finances, taxes, financial market and law, building on the knowledge of the case-law acquired in the course on public finances, taxes and the financial market.

Students will be able to apply this understanding to solve complex issues in the field of EU Internal Market Law, undertake self-study and form their own judgments, and convey a complex argumentation to colleagues, with a view to practice in the field and to undertaking systematic further research.

11. Overview:

A seminar is a form of classes, devoted to prepare and guide through a thesis writing process.

This seminar examines aspects of the public finances, financial markets and taxes in depth, dealing with the central controversies in internal market law and in the development of the EU's market. It is intended to develop students’ understanding of the discussions in academic literature in these fields, to encourage them to study on their own and to produce research-based written work. Students will be required to present and defend their essays and to discuss essays written by other students participating in the course.

The course is assessed on the basis of each student's essay(s), defence of the essay(s), and

participation in the discussion of the presentation of other participants' essays.

Each student will be required to choose a topic on which to present a paper.

The quality of the papers and the quality of active participation in the seminar will be taken into account in assessing performance.

14. Prerequisites:

This course is only accessible for students that have been fully admitted to a BBA degree programme within the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economic

15. Scope:

Presentation of formal requirements concerning dissertations.

Selection of dissertation's topic.

Structuring the dissertation and analysis of valuable bibliographical sources.

Presentation of and discussion on findings in oral and written form.

16. Own work:

Preparation of dissertation.

Preparation of two topics for the diploma exam.

18. Registration: will be taken by academic teacher leading the Seminar or person authorised.

Students leaving for Erasmus Program are also obliged to register for a Seminar.

Registration term: Oct. 10th, 2019 at 11.30 a.m., room 510 building ”A”

First version of the Seminar group list with registered students will be announced after the registration is finished. List will be also passed to the Dean’s Office in order to be accepted by the Dean up to three days after registration day.

Students who will sign up for more than one seminar will be crossed out from both groups.

The final list of the Seminar group and registered students will be confirmed by the Dean and passed to the academic lecturer who will lead the Seminar.

All changes to accepted groups can be made only with the Dean’s agreement.
