Subject: Important Dear Sir,

I chose your place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, but I must say the meal was terrible. The food was cold and not very fresh. The waiters were really impolite.

We felt awful. You must do something about it. This used to be the best eating place in town!

Yours faithfully, John Smith

A. NORLAND STUDENTS’ UNIFORMS B. NORLAND COLLEGE LOCATIONS

C. DIFFERENT CAREERS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS D. REASON FOR OPENING THE COLLEGE

NORLAND COLLEGE 2.1.

Norland College is a school for women who are interested in working as nannies. It was named after Norland Place in London, where it was originally opened. It has often changed address and is now in Bath, in a historical house which belonged to a son of King George III. The villa has been modernised and looks very beautiful.

2.2.

The college was started in 1892 by Emily Ward. In her opinion, children needed professionals who would look after them and were prepared for this responsible role. She wanted to change the situation of children and their parents for the better.

2.3.

There are many events organised in the college building. On such occasions, you can see Norland students in their famous brown coats. They also wear hats and gloves. For classes, they put on casual clothes – blue sweaters and trousers.

Crazy Salmon

We just wanted to have a good dinner in a restaurant. Crazy Salmon was a good choice.

It was busy but the waiters were really professional and we didn’t have to wait long.

The food was tasty and I had a spicy tuna steak which I really enjoyed. I hope I’ll go back there soon.

Fast Shrimp

I don’t recommend it! The first thing that surprised me was how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday evening. It was a mistake to take my sister there for her birthday. We had to wait thirty minutes for our chicken, and it was served cold!

Honey Moon

This restaurant is famous for its delicious food but it’s a pity that this time my pizza was too spicy and the waiters were a bit rude. However, the apple pie with honey I had was yummy. The place is rather expensive so choose it for special occasions.

BANKSY – A GRAFFITI STREET ART LEGEND

A few years ago Time magazine published the names of 100 people who have changed the world. A British artist, Banksy, was among them.

Banksy – a graffiti master, painter and political activist – is famous for his controversial art. To some people he’s a genius, to others a vandal. His graffiti can be found on the walls in London and Bristol and reaches shocking prices of £200 000. He’s also well known for making caricatures of famous photographs and paintings.

Banksy, whose real name is still unknown, was probably born in Bristol. His art teacher said that he was not good at art but it didn’t change his plans to become a graffiti artist.

Banksy is not represented by any art gallery, is not on Facebook, has never used Twitter and doesn’t want to appear on social media. However, there is a documentary film about him, Exit Through the Gift Shop, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
