8 listopad 1895:
Konrad Röntgen „odkrywa” promieniowanie zwane promieniowaniem X (a w Polsce – Rentgena)
Röntgen spędził w laboratorium 8 tygodni, aż do Bożego
Narodzenia 1895, ale w styczniu 1896 „jego” promienie już
stosowano amerykańskich szpitalach.
120 lat temu i wcześniej
P. Fornasini, http://alpha.science.unitn.it/raggix/frames.html Ale podobne prace prowadzili od 20 lat inni badacze:

A protein crystal structure at 2.7 Å resolution. The mesh encloses the region in which the electron density exceeds a given threshold. The
straight segments represent chemical bonds between the non-hydrogen atoms of an arginine (upper left), a tyrosine (lower left), a disulfide bond (upper right, in yellow), and some
peptide groups (running left-right in the middle). The two curved green tubes represent spline fits to the polypeptide backbone.

32Clostridum botulini
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botulinum_toxin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clostridium_botulinum
Botulinum is the most acutely lethal toxin known, with an estimated human
median lethal dose (LD50) of 1.3–2.1 ng /kg intravenously or intramuscularly
and 10–13 ng/kg when inhaled.[3]
Botulina
Clostridum botulini
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botulinum_toxin
The terminals of specific axons must internalize the toxin to cause
paralysis, and the heavy chain of the toxins is implicated in targeting the toxin to such axon terminals; following the attachment of the toxin heavy chain to proteins on the surface of the terminals, toxin molecules enter the neurons by endocytosis.[45] The light chain, which has zinc
metalloprotease activity,[45] is released from the endocytotic vesicles and reaches the cytoplasm
.Hence, botulinum toxins A, B, and E specifically cleave SNAREs, preventing "neurosecretory vesicles" from docking/fusing with the
interior surface of the plasma membrane of the nerve synapse, and so block release of neurotransmitter. In inhibiting acetylcholine release, nerve impulses are blocked, causing the flaccid (sagging) paralysis of muscles characteristic of botulism[45] (in contrast to the distinct
spastic paralysis seen in tetanus).[48]
