SEROLOGICAL TESTS AND EOSINOPHILIE IN 500 OBSERVED TRICHI- NELLOSIS CASES WITH DIFFERENT CLINICAL DURATION AND
SEVERITY OF THE DISEASE

On the basis of his own observations regards the outbreaks of trichinellosis in Poland, author pointed out the difficulties in diagnosis of this disease, expecially in non-hospital practice. Clinical picture of these cases was different to those generally described.
In diagnosis of these cases a great role play the serological tests and eosino- philie. It is important to know how to interprete the results of these tests.
The aim of the present experiment was to observe the behavior of precipitin ring test, microscopic precipitin test with living larvae and the complement fixa- tion test in trichinellosis patients with different clinical picture of the disease.
500 trichinellosis patients, aged 3-74 years have been put under observation.
All of these cases were typed according to the author's own criteria based mainly on clinical evidences.
According to the severity of the disease, patients were divided into the four
following groups: I. asymptomatic, 2. light, 3. moderate, and 4. severe.
