ntroductIon We are pleased to present to you the first issue of the journal „Studies and Analyses of Political Science” in 2021. Once again, it was created in the difficult conditions of a pandemic, while working online. The subject of this issue is exceptionally diversified; problems in the field of media studies, economy and energy policy, economic security, and international relations were raised. A wide range of topics ensures a nuanced scientific discussion. The issue is bilingual because, once again, our pages host both domestic and foreign authors. The issue opens with an article on media studies by Sabahudin Hadžialić, entitled Demagogy of the media: information and/or manipulation within social media. It refers to the problem of contemporary media: informing or ma-nipulating. The second article by Stanisław Wójcik, entitled Economics and systemic personalism, is theoretical in nature, bordering on the philosophy of politics, administration, and research in the field of local government and economics. The interdisciplinary approach of the author encourages the exploration of the issue. The third article by Patryk Michalak, “Abe-nomics” in the face of challenges for Japan’s economic security, continues the threads of the significance of economics in state security. However, the fourth article by Dorota Mirosława Rucińska entitled Energy and environ-ment policy in Poland: Various aspects in the context of shale gas extraction rais-es issues related to the relationship between environmental protection and energy management. The fifth article by Ally Kyrydon and Sergio Troy-ana International relations as a system and a discipline: From the Westphalian8 Introduction to the post-Westphalian world order is a specific review of an English-lan-guage publication. Another part of the issue is the reviews. The first one by Janusz Mariański of the monograph of Stanisław Wójcik entitled Per-sonalistic political thought, the second – by Anna Szwed-Walczak of Łukasz Jędrzejski’s publication entitled State and society in the Polish Film Chronicle 1944–1956. Images of political communication. The issue of the journal ends with a report from the webinar entitled Experts in the media – interpreters, translators of reality or actors of political communication? by Agnieszka Łu-kasik-Turecka.
The presented issue is devoted to various topics, which increases its cognitive value and proves the high level of interdisciplinarity of research.
