W.S. Lee Minimaliseren van het aantal verkasbewegingen in een container stack

Het aantal overgeslagen containers is, door de globalisering, continu aan het groeien. Meer overslag betekent meer machines (kwantiteit) of beter presterende machines (kwaliteit). In dit rapport wordt er geconcentreerd op het verbeteren van de softwareprestaties van een geautomatiseerde stapelkraan door het reduceren van verkasbewegingen met verschillende verkasmethoden.

Hiervoor is er een simulatiemodel gemaakt om een alternatieve verkasmethode te vinden die het aantal verkasbewegingen verminderd. Het simulatiemodel is geprogrammeerd in een object-georiënteerd programma Delphi en de open source simulatiesoftware TOMAS. Er zijn simulaties uitgevoerd zowel in verschillende situaties als met verschillende verkasmethoden.

Gemiddeld verminderden de verkasmethode Remaining Stack Capacity Improved (RSC Improved) en Remaining Stack Capacity without time window (RSC no C) de meeste verkasbewegingen. Als de hoeveelheid containers met vertrekinformatie (CDI) lager is dan 12%, reduceren de niet CDI verkasmethoden Random en Leveling meer verkasbewegingen. Verkasmethode Restack Chance vermindert de meeste verkasbewegingen indien de bezettingsgraad van de stack op zijn maximum is (rond 99%).
