Conference theme

Economics is a social science dealing with choices made in the conditions of scarce resources. The imperative of profit maximizing has resulted in severe imperfections in the site social and ecological provision. The issues of reconciling the economic, social and environmental interests have been marginalized, resulting in an increase in income disparities, worsening of economic exclusion and increasing of environmental threats. The social economy is a proposal approach to the management taking into account both the necessity of developing business profits, as well as establishing mechanisms for inclusion a workforce non-integrated so far in these processes. It's not about opposing a market economy, rather complementing it by solving social problems. Economy in which social issues would not be pushed aside in the pursuit of profits, should be oriented towards the implementation of the basic objective that is to improve the quality of life. Each kind of enterprise should be managed effectively and this approach is closely related to the entrepreneurial and innovative approach. Therefore, more and more emphasis is placed on the implementation of these attitudes in almost all areas of socio-economic life.

Entrepreneurial attitudes are of essential importance in the support for the social economy based on the values of solidarity, participation, accountability and social cohesion. It is related primarily to the third sector organizations, however, it also concerns specific activities of the public sector (e.g. social inclusion policy) and private sector (e.g. corporate social responsibility). The social economy, with its emphasis on social values, social interactions, ethics, is particularly well suited to conduct a thorough analysis of the modern economics, its priorities and tools, and above all the effects in terms of sustainability. The international financial crisis, debt crisis and growing inequalities in the world have demonstrated the need for important social and ethical interaction of governments, the private sector and the community.

The aim of the conference is to present a broad spectrum of scientific theories, views and opinions on the importance of the conditions and opportunities for development of social entrepreneurship, innovation is the social economy sector, environmental aspects of economy and social economy. The presentation and diagnosis of the current situation in this regard will constitute the starting point for discussion in the area of desirable socio-economic development. The conference includes an analysis of the economic, social, political and legal conditions for the development of social economy and the possibility of applying solutions present in other countries. The representatives of science, politics, business and civil society are all welcomed.
