PREFACE
The second issue of the Journal of Juristic Papyrology differs from the first one published 1946 in New-York because it contains besides the merely juristic also a philological section directed by Professor George Manteuffel. This exten-sion is due to the fact that the Journal will be ever since the organ of the Institute of Papyrology which is also divi-ded into two sections: a juristic under my direction and a philological one under the direction of Professor George Manteuffel. 1 think that this extension will be highly welcomed by all papyrologists. It may be noticed that the third issue will appear under the title Journal of Papyrology without any further indication.
