Symulacja działania bramek kwantowych wykonujących operacje na
spinie elektronu.
Ponadto omówiono najważniejsze wady i ograniczenia takiego nanourządzenia.
The purpose of the dissertation was to simulate and optimize performance of the nanodevice executing operations on the electron. In the first part of the study was examined distribution of electrostatic field generated by voltages applied to the electrodes on the heterostructure's nAlGaAs/GaAs used in the experiment (K. Nowack, Science, 318,1430-1433) and the strength of Dresselhaus and Rashby spin-orbit interactions was calculated. The second part of the work covered simulations of the spin rotation in two nanodevices built on the basis of the heterostructure GaAs/AlGaAs: first being a device with digitated electrode layout proposed in the experiment, second - a device with the newly designed system optimizing trajectories of electron motion. In the first nanodevice, electron motion followed a curve resembling section of a circle, Rabi oscillations were successfully recreated, and NOT and Hadamard gates were obtained. Furthermore, the principal drawbacks and limitations of the nanodevice were discussed. The next step was to design a new architecture of electrodes, which enabled to reduce electron motion to one dimension and increase its stability. Time of the speed of logic gates was improved by as much as an order of magnitude compared to the first nanodevice. Finally, the analysis of selection of amplitude and frequency of voltage change on the control electrodes was conducted, and the impact of Dresselhaus on the speed of obtained gates was investigated.
