FAREWELL
Roads of active people meet when they are searching for challenges, inspirations and joint actions.
As a student involved in student organizations, Rector Janina Jóźwiak encour-aged me to take on the issues going beyond the regular university education, ambi-tious from the social, organizational and scientific point of view.
I got involved professionally with the Institute of Statistics and Demography as a trainee at the beginning of the fourth year of my studies. Another challenge was to stand in front of my fellow students as their teacher.
… and more ideas for future activities. How to put them all together? Welfare, professional and scientific work. As Professor Jóźwiak’s assistant, I found accep-tance and encouragement to be unconventional and versatile. I received indepen-dence and understanding.
Roads of active people meet when they place confidence and wholeheartedness in each other while searching for challenges, inspirations and joint actions.
Janina Jóźwiak will remain in my memory as a great and warm person, splendid teacher and leader. Approachable, ordinary, understanding, eloquent and witty.
