Editorial

Gospodarka Narodowa – scientific journal with long-standing tradition

(since 1931) is embarking on the next stage of development.

Since 2018 we are a quarterly, although the total number of articles that appeared last year was comparable to when Gospodarka Narodowa was

pub-lished every two months.

Twenty-seven articles, including six in English, appeared in the four Gospo-darka Narodowa issues that we published in 2018.

A total of 57 articles were submitted to the journal throughout the year, of which 26, or 46 percent, were not accepted for publication (including two that were withdrawn). For the papers which were published in 2018, the av-erage period between submission and final acceptance for publication was 169 days, or just under six months.

The journal in 2018 was supported with development funds from the Mini-stry of Science and Higher Education in Poland.. We used the funding to fi-nance projects including the development of a new website and a new system for submitting articles and handling the editorial process in Polish and English.

I am also proud to announce that Gospodarka Narodowa has been

se-lected by Clarivate Analytics for inclusion in the Web of Science Core Collec-tion – Emerging Sources CitaCollec-tion Index (ESCI). All of the journal’s 2018 issues

and all future issues will be included in the index.
