Przedmiotem badań były urządzenia i procedury technologiczne przeznaczone do otrzymywania materiałów cienkowarstwowych, stosowanych w ogniwach słonecznych. Materiały te zawierają cienką warstwę absorbera - polikrystalicznego diselenku miedziowo-indowego, CuInSe2 (CIS). Warstwy CIS otrzymywane są poprzez termiczną selenizację prekursorów Cu-In, w czasie której następuje synteza odpowiednich pierwiastków.
Do realizacji obliczeń wybrano środowisko MATLAB. Ze względu na fizyczny charakter zjawisk termicznych i konieczność wprowadzenia do obliczeń odwzorowania elementów konstrukcyjnych rzeczywistych urządzeń, przestrzenną analizę transportu ciepła przeprowadzono za pomocą pakietu obliczeniowego COMSOL Multiphysics.
Zbudowano dwa systemy technologiczne, umożliwiające przeprowadzanie szybkiej obróbki cieplnej RTP (Rapid Thermal Processing): układ pieca z gorącymi ścianami i ruchomym podajnikiem oraz układ pieca z zimnymi ścianami i lampami halogenowymi.
Opracowany model matematyczny zastosowano w procedurze sterowania temperaturą w zbudowanych urządzeniach. Przydatność uzyskiwanych profili temperaturowych do prowadzenia procesów selenizacji metodą RTP potwierdzono eksperymentalnie.
Mathematical model for improvement of thermal treatment of photovoltaic materials
The study concerned systems and technological procedures designed for manufacturing of thin films used in solar cells. These materials contain thin films of the absorber - polycrystalline copper indium diselenide, CuInSe2 (CIS). CIS layers can be obtained through thermal selenization of Cu-In precursors, while synthesis of appropriate elements occurs.
The thesis presents results of the complete research cycle, including creation of the theoretical model of the technological system, verification and interpretation of the model and finally its application to control the real device. A set of state equations, describing thermal interactions between parts of the vacuum system, as well as matrix form of the model, resulting from the discussion of these equations, were obtained. For simulations calculations, the MATLAB environment was chosen. Due to the physical nature of the thermal phenomena and the necessity of accurate projection of construction parts of the equipment into simulations, the COMSOL Multiphysics programme was used for the heat transfer analysis.
Two types of the technological systems, enabling rapid thermal processing (RTP), were built-up: oven with hot walls and moving holder, as well as oven with cold walls and halogen lamps. Created mathematical model was applied to the steering procedure of the object.
Usefulness of obtained thermal profiles for running selenization processes with RTP method was verified experimentally.
