EDITORIAL

Valued readers,

This is the second volume of Glottodidactica. An International Journal of

Applied Linguistics published this year. We hope that you will enjoy the con-tributions included in it. This publication also marks the transition to the second year of the new editorial team’s work.

In the volumes planned for 2018, we would like to celebrate the 80th birthday of prof. dr hab. Waldemar Pfeiffer, who was the chief editor of this journal from 1977 to 1994, and who is the founder, and was for many years the director of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. On this occasion, we wish to encourage our academic colleagues from Poland and abroad to submit publication proposals for the upcoming two issues of our journal which are built on prof. Pfeiffer’s legacy and accomplishments. There is much to draw on, as the professor has pu-blished more than 150 publications, including 15 books and 30 academic readers, so far.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year.
