Aquila and Priscilla: Paul the Apostle’s Collaborators and Missionaries of the Early Christianity

Summary

The article discusses the issue of the Jewish married couple, Aquila and Priscilla, who at the beginning of Christianity actively participated in the evangelization of the world of those times. The study shows their connection with Paul and their contribution in their work. The article has a mainly historical character.

A. Tronina

The Literary Structure of the Book of Job

After a short introduction devoted to the methods of the literary analysis of the Bible the author passes to a discussion of the earlier suggestions concerning the structure of the Book of Job. In the final part of the article, on the basis of the „introductory formulas”

distinguished earlier he presents his own suggestion of a seven-part structure of the whole work. A harmonious composition of particular thematic blocks is gradually disturbed. This seems to prove the editor’s design: the order that rules the just Job’s life is ruined; howe- ver, at the end it is finally restored.
