• software development, Web applications design, IT system deployment, managing IT infrastructure, supporting IT helpdesks;
• giving popular science lectures and workshops (IT and mathematics);
• taking part in research projects at our Faculty.
Why? (internships goals)
Professional training placement – internships goals?
• Computer Science:
– Learning about IT projects and processes.
(Uzyskanie wiedzy dotyczącej sposobu realizacji projektów lub procesów informatycznych.)
– Completion of IT project tasks within the given technology and methodology.
(Realizacja zadań w projekcie lub procesie informatycznym z wykorzystaniem odgórnie narzuconej metody i technologii.)
– Team cooperation and/or contacts with client's representatives.
(Współdziałanie w zespole i/lub z przedstawicielem klienta.)
When?

• Computer Science:
– before the start of 7th semester
(you need to complete the internship to apply for the scholarship), – 4 weeks (160h),
– 4 ECTS (outside point limits).
• Internships should be settled no later than in the first month of the semester following the end of internships.

• Internships should be settled no later than in the first month of the semester following the end of internships.
ATTENTION: due to the current situation and the difficult possibility of seeking internships, the deadline for completing internships in this academic year is shifted - it will not be necessary to complete internships to obtain a scholarship for the 4th year (engineering studies) in 2020/2021 .
There is still a requirement to get credits for internships to complete your studies.

• Work contracts or being entrepreneur
– need confirmation from Dean's Proxy for Professional Training Placement.
• Internships in companies
– on the basis of agreement between the University and company.
• Internal internships
– need confirmation from Dean and Dean's Proxy.

Professional training placement – possibilities?
• scope of work must be compatible with studies,
• duration of the contract must be at least 160h,
• documents
– copy of the contract,
– certificate of the scope of work (signed by employer), (only if not specified in contract),
– application, – survey,
• all documents have to be in Polish or English
(in case of other languages the official translation is needed).

• chosing the place of internship and preparing the program
– program must be accepted by the Dean’s Proxy
• Signing of the agreement between the Company, Student and the Faculty (Dean's Proxy)
– in this order,
– three copies are needed,
– proof of accidents insurance is obligatory,
– example of the agreement is available at the website.
• preparation of the paperwork (by Dean's Proxy)

• delivering the documents
– certificate of internship, – internship report,
– survey,
– signature in student book (if applicable).

• internal internship is possible under the care of one of the Faculty’s employees
• employees submits the application (to B. Karpińska, D.Sc.) for approval
• what can you do?
– teach (only under the care of on of the teachers), – help with employee’s research.

– employee’s opinion (after the internship), – survey.

• If you participate in internship on the basis of agreement between the University and company and live outside Warsaw, you can apply for co- financing (travel and accommodation costs),
• details are set with the Dean.
