DITORIAL

The second volume of the quarterly scientific journal Education – Technical

Education – Information Technology consists of five subject chapters. The first

chapter, entitled The Issues of Technical and Vocational Education: In

Memo-rium: Antoni Zając, PhD, is composed of nine research papers that cover the

area of the late professor’s academic research interest and activities. Also, to commemorate Antoni Zając, one of the classroom was named after him in a special ceremony on the 14th of March 2016, when 3 first papers of this vol-ume were presented. The author of the first paper highlighted Antoni Zając’s scope and issues of academic activities. The second and third article draws on educational technology resources. The subsequent research papers in this part of the volume address classroom experiments, including positive feedback in the neurofeedback training and education, change management as a necessary means in normal functioning of the educational institutions, review of the re-search on the cooperation between schools and local community – the opinion of school headmasters, the establishment of communicative competence research as a part of social competence of academic teachers.

The second chapter, entitled The Issues of Technical and Vocational

Educa-tion, is composed of research papers that cover the area of general education as well as work education with reference to student’s IT competence. Some research papers present the limited possibilities of theory and practical applications used in technical education classes at all levels of education. The last concluding re-search paper focuses on the computer software application when creating stu-dent’s workplace in schools.

The third chapter, The Issues of Information and Communication Education, contains a series of research papers on the social, psychological and pedagogical transformation of XYZ generation, from the childhood, and the XYZ generation usage of information communication technology to create their own identity. The subsequent research papers present the chances and threats of social net-works as well as the use of mobile devices in education. The last article de-scribes the generic predicative planning algorithm for large businesses used as a task for IT students.

The fourth chapter, The Issues of Environmental and Ecological Education, contains a series of research papers on the use of multimedia to enhance

technical university students as well introduction to business education and stress management classes for those students.

The last article in this volume presents the final report on the research out-come carried out in the Branch Campus of the Faculty of Biotechnology, the Univerity of Rzeszów.

Thus, we encourage our readers to contribute their critical texts in response to the subjects covered in this volume.
