have erred on the side of caution and have

not included those companies whose

pre-sent operational status we could not

con-firm.

Included in the following pages are those

companies that were operating fast ferries

at the end of September 1993, or had

oper-ated seasonal services earlier in the year,

or were awaiting the delivery of new

ves-sels.

There are 30 new operators listed, many

of whom introduced vessels during the

that they have fast ferries in service.

On the debit side, 22 companies have

been deleted because they have closed

down, have withdrawn their fast ferries or

because we have been unable to confirm

that they are still operating.

Some undoubtedly do remain in business
