Experiments with photovoltaics
These three experiments with photovoltaic cells show, quantitatively, the efficiency of PV and the amount of mechanical losses
1. The bug requires full sun illumination to jump 2. The puppet moves in full sun
3. But it moves also in shadow: it uses little energy for its oscillatory motion
4. And in the „shadow” there is still 40% of sun intensity, arriving as scattered light.
5. Plants use in great amount this scattered light.
