Katedra Filologii Niderlandzkiej oraz komitet organizacyjny II Wrocławskich Spotkań Terminologicznych pt. „Granice (w) terminologii” (IFR / KFN) mają zaszczyt zaprosić na dwa wykłady prof. Friedy Steurs.

 Pierwszy wykład odbędzie się 4 marca 2020 o godz. 17:00 (sala 307, III piętro, Katedra Filologii Niderlandzkiej, ul. Kuźnicza 21-22) – pt. „Language is business.

The need for linguistic expertise in our multilingual society”.

 Drugi wykład odbędzie się 5 marca 2020 o godz. 9:30 (sala 307, III piętro, Katedra Filologii Niderlandzkiej, ul. Kuźnicza 21-22) – pt. „The Center of Expertise for Dutch Terminology”.

Frieda Steurs studied Germanic Philology (Dutch-English), neurolinguistics and computational linguistics. She works in the field of terminology, language technology, specialized translation and multilingual document management. Her research includes projects with industrial partners and public institutions.

She is the founder and former president of NL-TERM, the Dutch terminology association for both the Netherlands and Flanders. She is also the head of the ISO TC/37 standardization committee for Flanders and the Netherlands. She is the president of TermNet, the

International Network for Terminology (Vienna).

Since 2016, she is the head of research of the INT, the Dutch Language Institute in Leiden. In this capacity, she is responsible for the collection, development and hosting of all digital language resources for the Dutch Language. The INT is the CLARIN centre for Flanders, Belgium.

Kuźnicza 21-22) na wykład prof. Sambora Gruczy pt. „Terminologia – jej przedmiot i cele poznawcze”.

Prof. dr hab. Sambor Grucza – dziekan Wydziału Lingwistyki Stosowanej na

Uniwersytecie Warszawskim, kierownik Zakładu Lingwistyki Języków Specjalistycznych, przewodniczący Polskiego Towarzystwa Lingwistyki Stosowanej. Prof. Sambor Grucza jest redaktorem naukowym czasopisma Applied Linguistics Papers, Studia Naukowe,

współredaktorem naukowym serii Warschauer Studien zur Germanistik und Angewandten Linguistik oraz Studi@ Naukowe, a także członkiem kilkunastu rad naukowych czasopism naukowych. Zainteresowania naukowe: lingwistyka języków specjalistycznych, lingwistyka tekstu, lingwistyka kontrastywna, lingwistyka stosowana: translatoryka, glottodydaktyka. Jest autorem ponad 200 publikacji naukowych.

Instytut Filologii Romańskiej oraz komitet organizacyjny II Wrocławskich Spotkań Terminologicznych pt. „Granice (w) terminologii” (IFR / KFN) mają zaszczyt zaprosić 6 marca 2020 o godz. 9:45 (sala 307, III piętro, Katedra Filologii Niderlandzkiej, ul. Kuźnicza 21-22) na wykład prof. dr Patrycji Rodríguez-Inés pt. „A non-expert dealing with terms in specialized L2 translation: a perfect storm”.

Patricia Rodríguez-Inés holds a PhD in Translation Studies, and is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and East Asian Studies of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she teaches general and specialised translation from English to Spanish and viceversa. She is a member of the PACTE Group since 2000. Her PhD thesis, on the application of electronic corpora to translation teaching, was awarded with two prizes, one by

the Iberian Association of Translation and Interpreting Studies, and the other from her department. She has participated in numerous national and international projects, and has been a visiting researcher in 8 universities. The results of her research in translator training have been published in top translation journals such as The Interpreter and Translator Trainer, Méta, Perspectives, Babel, and Across Languages and Cultures.
