SOME / ANY
SOME (trochę) – używamy w zdaniach twierdzących, zarówno do policzalnych, jak i niepoliczalnych rzeczowników
np.
There is some milk in the fridge.
There are some pens in the pencilcase.
ANY (jakiekolwiek) – używamy w pytaniach i przeczeniach
np. Are there any flowers in your garden?
Is there any water in this kettle?
Przeczenia tworzyć możemy używając słówka ‘any’ lub ‘no’. W przypadku ‘any’
zaprzeczamy również czasownik dodając ‘not’, natomiast ‘no’ nie wymaga dodatkowego zaprzeczenia.
np.:
There aren’t any biscuits on the plate = There are no biscuits on the plate.
There isn’t any egg left in the fridge = There is no egg left in the fridge.
