Abstrakt Karta pracy będąca dodatkiem do scenariusza zaplanowanego do realizacji w trakcie 45-minutowej lekcji, której celem jest zapoznanie uczniów ze słownictwem i zwrotami przydatnymi do umiejętnego opisania wnętrza, w tym przypadku własnego pokoju. Uczniowie pracują z tekstem, z którego wynotowują wyrażenia przymiotnikowe, określające wygląd pokoju i jego poszczególne elementy. Uczą się również jak w ciekawy sposób ubarwić swój opis i sprawić by mniej ciekawe elementy opisywanego wnętrza stały się dla czytającego bardziej atrakcyjne. Wreszcie wypisują cechy swojego własnego pokoju, co jest wprowadzeniem do pracy domowej- stworzenia takiego pełnego opisu.

MY ROOM
My dormitory room, on the second floor of Bienville Hall, is quite small and crowded but at the same time it’s my real cosy nook. Although the walls are green and dark and white ceiling isn’t the cleanest one, my room looks very sunny and not as small as it really is. As you walk into the room, first thing you notice is my huge and extremely comfortable bed, which fills almost the half of the room. That’s a very soft half! When I want to create more romantic atmosphere I hide the two large windows using heavy dark gold drapes. Against the wall on your left, in the corner belong the head of the bed, is a large bookcase, where I keep the most important papers, the most loved books and knick-knacks. Just between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. I spent most of my time sitting at that desk on my beautiful old-fashioned brown wooden chair. Under the desk is a woven wastepaper basket. On the wall above the bookcase and desk you can see two posters of my grandparents.
On the right-hand side of the room is a closet with clothes, shoes, hats, tennis racquets and boxes. It is quite narrow but it isn’t very difficult for me to keep everything in right order.
Every time I walk out of the door, I leave my small but own world behind.
