Zadanie 6. (0 – 6 pkt.)

Przeczytaj poniższy tekst. Określ, które ze zdań (1- 6) są zgodne z treścią tekstu, a które nie. Zakreśl poprawną odpowiedź.

Software piracy

Software piracy is a serious crime. There are two types of people who download things from the Internet illegally: hackers who steal from the others with the help of the Internet, they are professionals who do it for a living; and non-professionals, individual users of the Internet who know that there are consequences but they continue to steal anyway. These people download pieces of music, films or computer programs without payment or owners’ agreement.

These people believe that their actions do not really hurt anyone. They do not think that downloading for their private needs means stealing. They do not suppose that downloading someone’s ideas, work and achievements is wrong and illegal.

The authors of stolen things lose a big amount of money in that way so recently they have started a campaign against software thieves to prevent their goods from being stolen. For teens who are just “trying out” software piracy, the best thing that can happen is to catch them. And the sooner the better. When the police catch them, they feel frightened, and the experience can stop many teens from repeating their behaviour. Piracy is stealing. Stealing is wrong. It is really just that simple.

1. Hackers steal things for money. TRUE FALSE

2. There isn’t any punishment for downloading without agreement. TRUE FALSE 3. Teenagers believe that downloading is legal. TRUE FALSE 4. Downloading things only for private use is not wrong. TRUE FALSE
