This report describes all aspects and variables that are related in a nut tapping process. Objective of this description is to improve the quality of the nut tapping process and nut threading dimensions.
Analysis of the actual tapping process and knowledge about specification of nut, tap, machine and related subjects have resulted in the set up of a new method to select these aspects.
By comparison of the actual variables with new selected variables it can be concluded that more knowledge of material, hardness and other properties of nut, tap and machine will improve the quality of the process.
