I n her new edition of P e t r . I I I , 20 recto col. 4 verso Miss L e n · g e r has e m e n d e d several passages b y r e c o n s t r u c t i n g t h e missing words. T h e t e x t edited b y her differs in a f e w details f r o m t h a t of W i 1 с к е п. Miss L e η g e r ' s article, besides a c o m m e n t a r y , includes six ordinances a n n e x e d t o p a r t i c u l a r pieces of a law- suit which was h e a r d in t h e second y e a r of t h e reign of P t o l e m y E u e r -getes I on t h e charge of an illegal o c c u p a t i o n of a s t a t h m o s . H e r e a r e also discussed such d a t a as t h e d a t e s of issue, specified pro-visions a n d s a n c t i o n .

Z u c k e r h a d published it in his „Nachträge zur Doppelinschrift aus spätptole-mäischer Zeit aus der Garnison von Hermopolis Magna (Abh. Preuss. A k a d . d. Wiss. 1937 phil-hist. Kl. № 6, 1938). H e a s c e r t a i n e d t h a t this f r a g m e n t of t h e stele belonged to a n inscription d a t e d J a n u a r y 25, 78 B. C. a n d f o u n d in 1932, in H e r m o p o l i s M a g n a , b y G e i m a n e x c a v a t o r s .
