Adaptive modelling of nonstationary metallurgical processes with use of the artificial intelligence methods.
In this PhD thesis the subject of adaptive modeling of nonstationary metallurgical processes with use of the artificial neural networks (ANN) was discussed.
This work was concentrated on the solve of two main problems: nonstationary of the metallurgical processes and training industrial data disturbances.
The nonstationary of metallurgical processes can be the result of the changes of the characteristics of the objects in which these processes go on.
The sources of training data disturbances can be: non recorded in database technological operations or equipment failures.
The problem of influence of the process nonstationary on the quality of the ANN model was solved by the use of the proposed ANN adaptation method. The example of the use of this method in modelling the copper flash smelting process was introduced.
The largest achievement of present work was elaboration of the new ANN training method. This method uses the robust statistics techniques and reduces the influence of disturbances occurring in industrial training data on the built ANN model.
