Abstract
A classical Mach-Zehnder two-beam interferometer was modernized using the Wollaston prism which allowed obtaining stable set of specific optical markers – optical vortices. This new interferometer setup which generated optical vortices was used to measure small angle displacements. Theoretical investigation concerning the sensitivity and accuracy of the used setup was confirmed by numerical analysis and practical experiments.
