.Results of .microhardness measurement of various samples of mIllleraJ. raw materials may be ObjeC'tive and comparable only when conditions of measU1'e-ment are identical. For that reason the article deals

with a complex of factors that Idfed the preciseness of lmicrohardness measurement, emphasizing the

im-portance of the factors .that are !the result of the conditions ooder which t'he meaSU1'ement is made, and of the conditions that depend upon the construc-tional features of the microhardness meter.
