Instrukcja dla ucznia

1. Zestaw konkursowy zawiera 10 zadań.

2. Przed rozpoczęciem pracy, sprawdź, czy zestaw zadań jest kompletny.

3. Jeżeli zauważysz usterki, zgłoś je Komisji Konkursowej.

4. Zadania czytaj uważnie i ze zrozumieniem.

5. Odpowiedzi wpisuj na arkuszu w miejscach do tego wyznaczonych.

6. Pisz czytelnie, czarnym lub niebieskim długopisem.

7. Wszelkie notatki możesz sporządzać w brudnopisie, który nie będzie oceniany.

8. Obok każdego zadania podana jest maksymalna liczba punktów, którą można uzyskać za jego rozwiązanie.

9. Staraj się nie popełniać błędów przy udzielaniu

odpowiedzi, ale jeśli się pomylisz, błędne zapisy wyraźnie przekreśl.

10. Nie używaj korektora.

Mike's aunt lived in an old house in the country. During his holidays Mike often visited her. One year when he came to her house aunt Emily said, 'Strange things are going on here, Mike. I hope you will help me 1. …... what it is.'

Mike went to his room quite late on the first day. He was so sleepy.

Have you ever wanted to help the environment, but weren't sure where to start?

Well, in today's issue I'll be giving you a few pieces of advice. I'll tell you what you should do to help save our endangered planet!

I. This means taking your newspapers and magazines, your bottles (glass and plastic ones) and cans and even your old clothes to special bins. These are usually outside supermarkets or in parks. If everybody did this with their rubbish, it would make a big difference.

II. Look up the addresses and phone numbers in the phone book. It doesn't cost very much and members get a free magazine and a badge. Usually they have meetings every month and organise fun activities which really help the environment.

III. This could be something like clearing up the lawns near your house. Ask your friends to join you and take lots of rubbish bags with you. Last year a group of

children cleaned a beach in Greece and in one morning they had collected 450 kilos of rubbish. This included 234 bottles and 2345 cigarette ends!

IV. You pay a small amount to a company and they look after it for you. And you can choose any one you like, from gorillas to dolphins to elephants. They will send you a photo of 'your' new friend and tell you all about its progress. It's a great idea if you love wildlife!

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and save out planet. It needs you!
