A. Streefkerk De onderdelenvoorziening bij ITT Nederland b.v. Masters thesis, Report TT.1239, Transport Engineering and Logistics.

For the inventory control of the many necessary articles in the Plant The Hague ITT Nederland uses a Material Requirements Planning. In spite of this system, material problems are an every day phenomenon.

In previous reports that investigate these material problems, the solution was given in increasing the stock for the cheap C-items by using a B,q-system for these articles.

This study tries to find the reasons behind the problems and gives some solutions to improve the situation. The conclusion can be made that by eliminating the many internal failures, the people can work more efficiently and there will be no need to increase the stock to a high level.
