S. Moerman Dishwashing liquid production lines: simulation and analysis

Internship/Computer program, Report 2006.TL.7026, Transport Engineering and Logistics.

This is the report of an internship assignment at Procter and Gamble, in Brussels (the technical centre) and London (the plant). The first part of the report handles the consequences in terms of throughput of adding an extra machine to a production line, in order to accommodate the production of a new product variant. The second part concerns an automated system to shut down the production line at the end of a run, which significantly reduces the material losses. Throughout the assignment, the simulation package Extend is used.
