A.A. Raksodewanto Geluidafstraling bij het plaatsen van containers. Literature survey, Report 93.3.TT.4136, Transport Engineering and Logistics.
In this report a study is presented about the noise transfer and the noise radiation of two containers stacked on one other. By the noise radiation of crashing containers, there are many differences between the theory of noise and the practical situation, such as:
the theory of noise explains the difference between the impact noise and the vibration noise. In the practical situation, people can not tell the difference between the two types of noise.
in the practical situation, there many factors influence the noise radiation. These factors are not accounted for in the calculation according to the theory. For example: the influence of echo at the container storage yard, anisotropy of the plates material and all kinds of different commodities within the container give various damping values.
