Rozprawa doktorska podejmuje tematykę procesu konsolidacji proszków metalicznych na bazie srebra, stosowanych jako materiał do wytwarzania styków elektrycznych. W pracy przedstawiono alternatywny do procesów metalurgii proszków sposób zespolenia proszku AgSn7,5BiO,4, polegający na dwustopniowej konsolidacji metodami intensywnych odkształceń plastycznych. Do procesu plastycznej konsolidacji proszku AgSn7,5BiO,4 zastosowano metodę cyklicznego wyciskania ściskającego (CWS), a następnie wyciskania hydrostatycznego (HE).
The doctoral thesis discusses the subject of consolidation of silver-based metallic powders, which are used as a material for the production of electrical contacts. The study presents an alternative way of AgSn7,5BiO,4 powders consolidation to the processes of powder metallurgy, consisting of two-stage processes by severe plastic deformation methods. The methods of SPD processes which was used to the plastic consolidation were cyclic extrusion compression (CEC), followed by hydrostatic extrusion (HE). These methods allow to exert a much larger deformation than in the conventional processes of anastomosis. Results of investigations carried out using a light microscope (LM), a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), include quantitative and qualitative analysis of the structure of samples after the first and second stage of plastic consolidation. Measurements of average grain size was determined statistically using the mean chord method. The analysis of the phase composition was performed using X-ray diffractometer. Moreover, in dissertation, the results of microhardness tests together with theanalysis aiming at determining the susceptibility to cracking of the consolidated material by the action of the indenter were presented. Additionally, the quality of the samples with respect to the presence of defects such as discontinuities or cracks was assessed using X-ray computer tomograph scanner.
The obtained results were summarized in order to compare them with traditionally consolidated material.
